When Too Much is not Enough – is a class and workshop created to target women and girls. The focus of the curriculum is to promote a positive self-image in the midst of peer/social pressure, media influences, and the stages of emotional, cognitive, and physical development. Jean Piaget’s theory of cognitive development is used as a framework for the components of the class.
Duration: 2 hours
SMART Goals: The audience will be able to define positive self-image and apply that definition to the self.
The audience will be able to differentiate positive imagery from negative and exploitative images of women, men, and girls inclusive of race, religion, creed, nationality, and gender orientation.
